Education

I am a certified high school educator in Fulton County with ten years of experience tutoring both small groups and individuals. I host several SAT and ACT programs in Alpharetta and Johns Creek that result in significant score gains for both struggling and excelling students. Students describe my lessons as clear, engaging, and comprehensive. I set high expectations for all of my students with the ultimate goal to teach students how to study independently. My academic credentials include graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Secondary Education Mathematics and working full-time as a high school math teacher.

Experience

I am a certified educator and have seven years of experience tutoring grades K-12 and beyond. I absolutely love to watch my students grow academically and gain confidence as they master course material. Tutoring is never considered work for me; it is simply my passion. My talent is using technology and manipulatives to help struggling students understand mathematics and establish a strong mathematical foundation. I have also established a unique SAT course that helps students significantly raise scores. Throughout my years of tutoring, I have received nothing short of exemplary feedback and have turned C and B students into A students! I thoroughly enjoy what I do and am majoring in Secondary Education Mathematics as a result. Group sessions (2-3 students) are $30 per hour and private is $55 an hour. I enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally. My hobbies include horseback riding, playing the violin, skiing, and mastering new languages (Korean, Spanish).
