I'm from Roswell, Georgia, and I currently teach language arts at nearby Norcross High School. For three years, I've taught a class there to prepare students to take the SAT. I'm also a tutor in language arts. Currently, I'm teaching Honors British Literature to seniors and Honors American Literature to juniors. Before that, I was teaching high school seniors my very favorite subject, Advanced Placement Language and Composition. I'm also certified to teach Advanced Placement Literature. I am a popular teacher because I'm able to make the students in my class laugh while they're learning. I'm not afraid to be silly or to use music, movies, and jokes that my students like and are familiar with. I'm skilled at figuring out which issues are keeping a student from learning and in developing techniques to improve their understanding of a subject. I keep up with innovations in education and try to build good relationships, not only with my students, but also with their parents. I have high ratings from students within the school (94%) and on a popular website that rates teachers, which shows that students both enjoy and benefit from my style of teaching.I really enjoy movies, jokes, and making learning fun.
